Representative Leadership

Mark Carney could become the Prime Minister of Canada by securing the most votes in the Nepean Electoral District, which, from a historical perspective, would be from around 47,000 voters.

Pierre Poilievre could become the Prime Minister of Canada by securing the most votes in the Carleton Electoral District, which, from a historical perspective, would be from around 69,000 voters.

From a national perspective, this will mean that neither Mark Carney nor Pierre Poilievre would directly receive more than 0.2 % of the national vote.

Emergencies Act

The Emergencies Act could be improved by amending the act such that, after the Report is delivered to Parliament, there needs to be a requirement to have a national referendum asking Canadians if they have confidence in the government. If the people vote non-confidence in the government, then parliament should be dissolved, and a general election should be triggered.
